Neuroscience Center is a 26 bed unit, located on the 5th Floor of
our Saint Paul Campus. On this unit we care for a wide spectrum of
children, ranging from infants to young adults, requiring treatment
and management for both acute and chronic conditions from our
dedicated care givers for epilepsy/seizure disorders within our
Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, post-operative neurosurgery
care, general medical/surgical care, along with children in acute
behavioral health crisis. Our patients have an average length of
stay ranging from overnight to several weeks for specialty
treatment and care. Patients on the Neuroscience Center are cared
for by a cohesive group of inter-disciplinary teams that include
child life, social work, epileptologists, neurosurgeons,
integrative medicine, dietitians, case managers and other
specialists. Our team prides ourselves on teamwork, quality care,

Summary The Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) is considered a
front-line department/unit leader. The PCS will directly lead
clinical support staff and assist in the leadership of RN staff.
License/Certification/Registration: *Active RN on Minnesota Board
of Nursing required *Current BLS required Education: *Bachelor's
degree in nursing required Experience: *3 years of direct patient
care experience within a related specialty. *Informal leadership
experience is preferred (charge RN, clinical educator, preceptor,
etc.). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *Desired characteristics:
dependable, responsible, strong conflict resolution skills,
knowledge of assigned unit, ability to multi-task, self-starter
with ability to problem solve independently. *Availability for
on-call and off-hours rotations/situations as decided by

grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully
